JetBlue Airways reported that preliminary traffic for June increased 3.2% year-over-year, on a capacity increase of 4.0%. Load factor for June was 85.5%, a decrease of 0.7 points from June 2016. JetBlue’s preliminary completion factor was 97.5%, and its on-time performance was 60.6%.
Q2 revenue per available seat mile (RASM) is expected to increase approximately 7% compared to Q2 of 2016. Q2 RASM was positively impacted by 1.25 points due to lower completion factor, and incentive payments related to the JetBlue co-branded credit card.
